Housing and meals

ASE students live in handsome town houses and flats (apartments) throughout the centre of Bath.

Accommodation

Rather than living in dorms on a college campus, ASE students instead share handsome town houses and flats (apartments) with other students on the Programme. All are located in historic neighbourhoods in the heart of the World Heritage City of Bath.

Our student houses and apartments, many of them built in the eighteenth- and nineteenth-centuries, are located in well-resourced neighbourhoods within walking distance of local shops and the ASE Study Centre.

All are distinctive and different, but each offers WiFi, TV and radio, laundry facilities, a landline phone and communal areas, bathrooms and kitchens of various shapes and sizes. Students receive a full practical orientation of their new home by a member of the ASE staff on arrival day.

ASE's Housing Manager oversees all aspects of ASE’s student accommodation, including maintenance and cleaning, and communicates regularly with students throughout their stay.

Meals

ASE accommodation is self-catering, meaning students shop and cook for themselves. A clear map showing local supermarkets and stores, and a 'welcome pack' of food, help students to get oriented when they first arrive. A number of local grocery stores can deliver food and other goods ordered online, if preferred.

A weekly food allowance, sufficient to cover the cost of basic groceries and everyday supplies, is included in the Programme fee for most students (except where your college has an alternative arrangement).

“Bath - the park, the Abbey, the beautiful hills outside my window and, most of all, some of the most remarkable skies - sunrise and sunset - that I have ever seen.”
