Bath is well-known for its rich history, and its numerous connections with famous people and events - among them the authors Jane Austen and Mary Shelley, the poet William Wordsworth, and the playwright Richard Brinsley Sheridan.
It is also regularly featured as the picturesque backdrop to historical and contemporary films and TV dramas, including the Netflix series Bridgerton.
