Situated in the heart of the County town of Trowbridge, just 18 minutes' train-ride from Bath Spa, Trowbridge Museum occupies the site of what used to be a Norman castle (though none remains today), and what is now a Grade Two Listed Victorian woollen mill. The Museum explores 1,000 years of the town's history, from its roots in the Saxon period to its place as a centre for production of the internationally-prized West of England Woollen Cloth. The Museum houses over 23,000 objects in its collection, including significant machinery relating to the cloth industry, and works on events with many local schools and community groups.

Tasks are likely to include Collections Care, Learning and Outreach Support, working within the Research Library and anything and everything Museum-related!
